ILL BLISS’s NEW ALBUM ‘Oga Boss’ out!
Nigerian rapper IllBliss aka Dat Ibo Boy has released
his sophomore album ‘Oga Boss’
The 15-track album features tracks with Banky W, Naeto
C, Ice Prince, Timaya, Phyno, StormRex, Chidinma, Tha Suspect, WizBoy and
Silvastone, as well as tracks produced by Del'B, Legendury Beatz, Wazbeat and
XYZ.
The rapper says, "My initial plan was to keep
this album at ten tracks, but then as I went on recording I wanted to record
with as much of the other artistes I was feeling, as I could - since I planned
for it to be my last official album I might as well make it count. My team was
very much in sync with me on it.” He added that, “We picked from the many
tracks the ones that fit best in the creative direction and that's what we put
out.”
‘Oga Boss’ has been described as a “thematic smash
with unconventional lyrics showing the different sides to a “Boss-Man”.”
After his first LP, Illbliss went behind-the-scenes
producing TV content and developing other acts such as Chidinma under his
Goretti company flag. He also formed a partnership with videographer Clarence
Peters to run Capital Hill and Goretti.
